Why Luxon won’t outstay his welcome

Opinion: Christopher Luxon is unlikely to be a long-term Prime Minister. 
Should he lose the next election, he will almost certainly quickly quit politics altogether and move on to the next phase of his life. However, at this stage defeat seems unlikely. The rolling average of opinion polls since last year’s election shows that the coalition has been maintaining a consistent (if anything, slightly increasing) lead over the Opposition bloc. Of course, much may change over the next two years, but, at this stage, the odds favour the Government getting a second term in office.
