The Defence Medal is a campaign medal instituted by the United Kingdom in May 1945, to be awarded to subjects of the British Commonwealth for both non-operational military and certain types of civilian war service during the Second World War. These medals were the silver lining for some during a dark time. The medal we have here today appears to be in good condition the ribbon does need a little love and care. The condition are best shown in the photos. This is perfect for any War medal collector and collectors of WW2 memorabilia.
