Item
: Two (2) pieces of pottery by Washington Ledesma.
Plate
: Nicely handmade plate featuring a highly detailed incised/sgraffito image of a man riding a mythical beast, finished in a really nice, monochromatic palette of matte blue. No glaze to reverse.
Rattle/Paperweight
: Hand sculpted pillow-form object with an incised crescent moon to either side, one rendered in cool glaze colors, the other in warm colors…all matte.
Size
: Plate is 7”x 7”x 1.5”, rattle is 4”x 2”x 1.25”
Condition
: Both pieces are in very good condition with some handling wear seen in photographs. No chips or cracks to either plate or rattle.
Mark(s)
: Both pieces are signed/initialed and dated: The plate is dated 1978, the rattle is dated 2000.
