Educated at Wimbledon, achieved Assoc certificate of bankers., Home guard 1941, in the ranks with the Royal Scots, then commissioned Indian Army Oct 1942., He served with the 4/7th, and 10/7th Rajut Regt. “He crossed the Eastern Border of India into Burma on Mar 16 1945“, later in July 1945 returned to India then landed at Batavia, in Java serving with the 4/7th Rajput Regiment, until June 26 1946, serving there with the 161 Indian Bde of the 5th Indian Div.
