This is a rare Victorian Iron Wire Demi-Lune planter dating to the 1870s. This item is made with a wire mesh construct.
This type of Victorian-era patio or outdoor furniture is rare due to the exposure to elements causing oxidation and decay.
This planter has its fair share of surface rust and could use restoration.
It is still very solid and sturdy.
The scrolled edges have some bent areas that could easily be straightened and some of the scrolling needs to be reattached.
The wire work has some broken areas but is overall, a very nice piece for its age.
