DESCRIPTION & CONDITION
Up for bid is a fantastic late 19th century Spanish tin glazed
lebrillo
earthenware bowl, made in Triana Seville, Spain. Lebrillo means bowl in Spanish, typically a type of basin used for cleaning or the larger ones for washing. This item is in excellent condition for it's age, with typical signs of handling wear, minor crazing and manufacturing flaws. Due to its condition, I believe this item was gently used since its inception and later only displayed. This polychrome bowl with an image of a rabbit looking forward surrounded by filigree design
, is in itself a rare find. Most of these lebrillos are found with a rabbit or other animal looking backwards. However, what really makes this item a super rare piece is the fact that there is a blue leaping rabbit on the backside and the word Spain in brown paint on the side of the bowl. This is not typical.  If you're looking at this listing you are aware of the rarity, collectability and price ranges of these antique ceramic decorative pieces that were produced in various sizes ( items details are shown above).  Take advantage of the low reserve price.
